Sami Labs wins four State Excellence Exports Awards from Visvesvaraya Trade Promotion Centre for the year 2011-12 and 2012-13

VISVESVARAYA TRADE PROMOTION CENTRE (VTPC) is a mandated nodal agency for promotion of Trade from the State of Karnataka. registered under the Karnataka Societies Act. It is supervised and regulated by an autonomous body constituted by the Government of Karnataka. VTPC has been operational since 1965 under the aegis of Department of Industries & Commerce. VTPC is named after Chief architect of modern Karnataka, Bharat Ratna Late Sir M.Visvesvaraya, who was instrumental in the industrialization of the state. As a part of Export promotion, the VTPC organizes State Export Awards, every year.

Sami Labs Receives Award From ABBOTT HEALTHCARE

Sami Labs recently received the "Best Customer Centric Business Partner for 2012" award from Abbott Healthcare. The award was related to Sami Labs supplying ingredients to Abbott for their product MelaGlow New, an innovative depigmentation cream formulated using Sami’s ingredients. The product, which contain Sami’s cosmeceutical ingredient SabiWhite, is marketed in India through prescription route via dermatologists and has proven to be an extremely successful product and brand for Abbott Healthcare.

MelaGlow New provides a multi prolong approach to skin fairness by targeting different mechanisms like tyrosinase expression, transfer of melanosomes, antioxidant UV protection and anti inflammatory effects.

Sami Labs won the "Nutra Excellence Award – Best company in the field of Research & development" in the 8th Nutra Summit - India held in Mumbai on 13th - 16th March 2013.

Sami Labs Named Best Innovation And Technology Company

Sami Labs, Ltd. was named "Best Innovation and Technology Company" at the Food 360° Conference organized by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).

FICCI appointed a jury of peers, coordinated by Ernst & Young, to give awards to companies in various categories. The awards were given in conjunction with the International Conference on Agribusiness & Food Processing held recently in Hyderabad, with a large participation from India and abroad.

Sami Labs Receives The Top Pharmexcil Patent Award For 2010-2011 In The Herbals, Ayurveda, Nutraceuticals Category

Sami Labs, Ltd. has received the top Pharmexcil Patent Award for 2010-11 in the Herbals, Ayurveda Nutraceuticals category. The Award was presented during the "Pharma CEOs Conclave" organized by the Phaemaceuticals Export Promotion Council (Pharmexcil) and sponsored by Department of Commerce Industry, Government of India.

Pharmexcil is a ministry established by the Government of India as a gateway to global pharma trade. The awards honor those companies that excel in developing proprietary products that are granted patents throughout the world.

Sabinsa Corp. received the Thomas Alva Edison Patent Award for the year 2004. The award was presented at the Council's Annual Awards Dinner on November 11, 2004, at the Liberty Science Center, New Jersey. Sabinsa's U.S. patent (No. 5,804,596) for ForsLean^® was awarded this honor in the Consumer/Small Company category.

This is the second award for ForsLean^® in the innovation arena. The product earlier won the Best New Product award in 2001 at Nutracon.

Prestigious Ellis Island Medal of Honor for Dr. Muhammed Majeed

Dr. Muhammed Majeed, Chairman and Managing Director of SAMI LABS LTD, was chosen by the National Ethnic Coalition of Organizations (NECO) to receive its prestigious Ellis Island Medal of Honor.

This award, which is sanctioned by the U.S. Congress, is presented to Americans of diverse origins to recognize their leadership, commitment and service to their own ethnic group and to American society. Dr. Majeed was presented with the medal at a gala event held on May 15th, 2004, on Ellis Island, New York.

"I am very proud to receive this honor and be recognized for the work I do here in the United States and in India." said Dr. Majeed. "I believe strongly in NECO's mission to preserve and celebrate ethnic diversity, and to promote advancement and tolerance among all ethnic groups".

Previous recipients of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor include: former presidents Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, George Bush and Bill Clinton, Nobel Prize winner Elie Wiesel, Bob Hope, Rudy Giuliani and Muhammad Ali.
